I know that starting counseling can feel intimidating—it takes courage to take this step. Too often, the stresses and traumas of life get in the way of who we want to become. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can find hope, healing, and growth.
I work with both adults and teens who may be struggling with challenges such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, or relationship difficulties. For some, those struggles are connected to painful past experiences, including trauma. I specialize in walking alongside individuals who are recovering from harmful relationships, high-control environments, or religious trauma. Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to go through it alone—your story matters, and I will be honored to walk with you as you move toward healing.
My therapeutic approach is attachment-based and trauma-informed, tailored to the unique needs of each person. Clients often describe my style as warm, engaging, and compassionate, with a touch of humor. If faith is an important part of your life, I’m happy to integrate that perspective into our sessions. I also recognize that for many, faith may feel complicated or painful—particularly for those who have been hurt by religion. I will always respect your beliefs and meet you where you are.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading, gardening, baking, and catching up with friends over coffee. I also love spending time in the mountains with my family. My husband and I have lived in Charlotte for 18 years with our three teenagers, the youngest of whom has special needs.
