Professional Background

Annie Koch is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, young adults, adults, and families through life’s emotional challenges and transitions.

She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina and has experience working in a variety of settings including behavioral health, community-based services, school systems, and foster care. Annie has also worked closely with immigrant and refugee populations and has served as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem advocate since 2016.

Annie is passionate about helping individuals navigate their world and everyday struggles with greater confidence, self-awareness, and emotional balance. She approaches each client with empathy, kindness, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard while creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for healing and growth.

Her work focuses on helping clients reduce emotional overwhelm, calm the nervous system, and loosen the patterns that keep them feeling stuck so they can feel more grounded, connected, and present in their daily lives.

Clients & Treatment Methods

Annie specializes in working with children, teens, young adults, women, and families struggling with ADHD, anxiety, autism, depression, attachment trauma, grief, emotional regulation difficulties, and neurodiversity-related challenges.

Her therapeutic approach is holistic, relational, eclectic, and evidence-based, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, family systems approaches, and nervous system regulation strategies.

Annie emphasizes the mind-body connection and believes healing occurs through safety, connection, collaboration, and self-understanding. She is well-versed in trauma, attachment wounds, and multigenerational trauma and values partnering closely with parents, caregivers, schools, and support systems to help clients feel understood and supported across environments.

Annie believes that healing is possible for everyone and works collaboratively with clients to build resilience, emotional awareness, self-worth, and healthier coping patterns.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, Annie enjoys spending time with her family (she has four twenty-somethings!), traveling, hiking, reading, trying new foods, being outdoors in the sunshine, and focusing on wellness and holistic living.

She values community connection, advocacy, and lifelong learning. Annie continues to enjoy volunteering as a Guardian Ad Litem advocate for children involved in the court system.
